Gray Plaid Pendleton Skirt! It’s 1970s Perfection!

1970s gray plaid Pendleton wool skirt

This perfect gray plaid Pendleton skirt will be your go-to wool skirt this fall and winter! It will even take you into spring.

It will pair with almost anything in your wardrobe! Personally, I can see this skirt paired with this 1970s Gaeltarra Irish wool cardigan and these absolutely gorgeous Franco Sarto boots! Add in this blush pink pussy-bow blouse!

Would best fit up to a modern US size L (12-14). Measurements, taken flat, are:

W: 16.5″
H: 21″
L: 27.5″

When I think of Pendleton, I automatically think of vintage wool skirts and other clothing from the 1950s and 1960s. These Pendleton skirts are practically a staple in any vintage lover’s wardrobe! But did you know that Pendleton has been around since 1863? It got its start as a wool shipping center for wool producers in Oregon.

On the fashion front, Pendleton start out making wool suits for men before branching into women’s clothing in the late 1940s.

Kind of crazy to think that a company that got its start as a wool shipping company is producing wool clothing to this very day! You can even shop online now! But I personally prefer the vintage stuff, like this 1970s gray plaid Pendleton skirt!
