This 1960s beaded pink sweater is sleeveless and so versatile!

This pinup-style sweater features beautiful pearlescent beading. You can pair it with jeans and flats for a casual brunch. Or wear it with a skirt and a faux fur wrap for that extra look! I don’t know about you, but I adore these 1960s Hong Kong beaded sweaters!

Label says L, but the measurements, taken flat, are as follows:

B: 20″
W: 19″
L: 21″ from shoulder to hem

Did you know these types of beaded sweaters were incredibly popular during the 1950s and early 1960s?

I have quite a few of them in the shop, including this stunning one in lambswool, another in black and gold, and this black-on-black lambswool and angora piece!

Cashmere sweaters in general were a huge part of mid-century fashion, particularly when it came to evening wear, and I could definitely see this wool sleeveless sweater being part of some magnificent formal outfit. I would pair it with a tulle skirt and heels for a night out!

The Vintage Fashion Guild has a great piece on the history of cashmere sweaters in mid-century fashion, including those made in Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s!
