60s stewardess style dress
Description
This 60s stewardess style dress will have you flying the friendly skies and asking, “Coffee, tea, or me?”
This cute-as-can-be dress has the sweetest little bow at the neck and an adorable geometric pattern.
This dress would best fit up to a modern US size 10. Measurements, taken flat, are:
B: 18.5″
W: 17″
H: 18.5″
L: 35″ from shoulder to hem
I don’t know about you, but I adore 1960s dresses and 60s fashion in general! There are a number of absolutely adorable 60s dresses in stock at the shop, including this sweet mushroom-print cottagecore dress! And don’t sleep on this groovy green mini dress!
Southern Living has this fascinating retrospective on the history of stewardess dresses throughout the ages! I personally think this dress calls to mind the sheath dresses from 1967 or the groovy mod style stewardess dresses took on in the late 60s.
The evolution is very interesting! Stewardess uniforms started out in a very military style. But the feeling became more relatable and cool in the 60s to match modern fashions.
You can dress this cute dress up or down. Grab yourself a pair of knee-high boots to give it a mod feel. Or add on layers, like a sweater or a cute faux fur coat.
