Nine West was the brainchild of Jerome Fisher and another mid-range fashion designer, Vince Camuto, back in the 1970s. And they began their business in a building at 9 West 57th Street in New York City, hence the name Nine West! Cool, huh? Nine West was officially founded in 1991.

The company went on to operate brands like Calico, Enzo Angiolini, and 9 & Co.
